These claims below have since been retracted as the test vehicle in question was fitted with non factory issue tyres. While Hyundai disputed the accusation they later accepted the tyres used were specialized track version and not the road going models.

(Wheels Australia have tested the i30N DCT at 5.00s 0-100kph in their quickest run)

Wheels Australia have tested the i30N DCT at 5.00s 0-100kph in their quickest run, and PDriveTV clocked a 5.19s sprint, as well as:
- 0-60kph in 2.89s
- 0-200kph in 19.86s
- 1/4 Mile in 13.58s @ 172.6kph
- 100-0kph in 2.93s @ 37.62m
