How can we add a car in the site?

User avatar

Fangio Man  8y ago

No problem, my friend!

User avatar

Shaggy  8y ago

@ Fangio Man: I've always wondered what that meant, thanks.

User avatar

VT means Visco Traction.

I made a mistake when adding the car

Dryweight: 1625kg

Curbweight would be around 1725kg but Lamborghini never made a curbweight claim.

oooooooooooooooohhh

Dry weight of Diablo VT was 1625kg and 1576kg for the RWD Diablo.

Mike,
IMHO that 1993 issue of quattroruote mistake. Test weight of Diablo VT was 1820 Kg
Curb weight was
1820-100+1002/30,72 = 1768 Kg
The dry weight of diablo VT was 1662 Kg.
Anyway I will check when at home. I have all Quattroruote issues from 1980.

Luque, if that's the case, then why the weight of the Diablo VT is spot on? it is 1625kg dry after all, did the car only had 7 liters of fuel?

User avatar

Luque  10y ago

Quattroruote report always car tested weight with :
Driver and Measurement equipment (about 100kg)
Fuel at 2/3
So the correct 512 TR Curb/Kerb weight is
1700-100+2/31000,72 = 1648 Kg

With 100 Liters tank fuel capacity and Fuel density = 0,72

Cheers

Surprising. 512 TR's were typically tested at 1644 kg (or just a few kg heavier) with full fuel tank, without driver - and there were hardly any weight relevant options available.
The Diablo VT's 1720 kg however correspond to other tests (full fuel tank, no driver).

hey, weight is 1720kg

Weight is 1720kg from Quattroruote 04/1993 Ferrari 512 TR vs. Lamborghini Diablo VT

That picture looks like a hot wheels model sitting on a piece of computer paper lmao!

User avatar

Mike B  11y ago

@F355
1700kg, which I find surprising as it is 205kg over dry.

User avatar

F355  11y ago

test weight of 512 TR?

User avatar

Mike B  11y ago

Curbweight is 1720kg, From Quattroroute 512TR vs Diablo VT Nardo High Speed Test.

95kg over 1625kg dryweight, so it seems very accurate.

We don\'t have the original Diablo VT here right?

Those are the ones for the 512TR
