i never said it can beat the 458 italia nor said it is better. tested times means shit when the manufactures hands out the cars as they could have tweaked it in every possible way, particularly when the manufactures name is ferrari.
the topic was just about the lp570 -4 supperleggera who would beat the 458 if it would be rwd as the awd supperleggera from customers most likely does already.
the balboni just comes pretty close to the italia which underlines that statement

458 proofed to do 0-200 in low , mid and high 9s in tests that are made in controlled terms.
You can believe in whatever you want.
458 should easily beat Balboni in every aspect coze it is a better car - 458 even now being 4 years old is an amazingly good car - engine , gearbox, suspension , lc, traction, track lap times - everything is fantastic.
Ofc Gallardo also is a fantastic car but from technical point of view worse than 458.
Balboni has worse gearbox, less power and similiar real weight - it cant win with 458.

i trust those videos by normal customers with factory cars much more than any official magazines who gets special handed out cars and particularly when one of the reviewers (chris harris), who makes a living out of it, speaks bad about it and a certain brand considering that it does nothing but hurt him.
and how do you know that the the 458 should easily win vs the balboni when there arent any tested times out for the balboni? those times are just estimates

ddd 8y ago
But SLS proofed to do 0-200 in high 12s and it has bad 0-100 time.
SLS does 100-200 in about 8s.
458 does 100-200 in about 6,2-7s.
So the difference on movie is real.
Here (Balboni vs 458) we have weird situation...
Normal 458 should win easily with Balboni.
Ofc those fun drag race are not made in controlled terms so i think it is the explanantion of that Balboni Issue.

Hamcee 8y ago
because the sls amg is heavier and has long gearratios other than the 458? and the GT-R is obviously slower from a rolling start as it is very heavy and has allwheeldrive. the GT-R is only good from a standing start and its sick 0-100 time.
hell, there are even videos where the bmw m6 f10 beats the gt-r

ddd 8y ago
Are you joking ? Those videos are not proof/source... They are only fun movie.
We can take for serious only tests that are made in controlled terms of testing.
And 458 italia proofed that it is able to do 0-200 in less than 10 s.
Balboni didnt proof it.

okay so i was just checking gallardo vs italia vids and the only gallardos the ferrari beats pretty convincingly are the older models with 500 and 530 hp.
all others are actually super close (570 supperleggera even beats it)
pretty weird considering the recorded times as they seem pretty off

Hamcee 8y ago
the datas here are just estimates
i was checking the m5 board about comments concerning the vid.
one guy said the tested times in one magazine were:
10,6 seconds 0-200 for the gallardo
10,3 seconds 0-200 for the italia
other vids also lead to the fact that they are pretty close and these figures seem much more realistic

Good morning, everybody! Just woke up at 5'o clock in the morning.

ddd 8y ago
Rotfl Balboni do 0-100 in 3,9-4,0s and 100-200 8-8,5s and you are saying that is superclose to 458 ?
For 458 100-200 in 7s is a very bad result...

ddd 8y ago
Lol...plz fun yt movie is not a SOURCE...Dont you see acceleration times ?
I can see that Gallardo do 0-200 in about 12s...
458 do 0-200 in about 9,5-10s (decent).

ddd 8y ago
@Shaggy - ruin 458 in terms of acceleration ? Mayby in another world.
458 has better traction (if we talk about RWD Gallardo) , far better gearbox (Ferrari's gearbox is practically the best atm) , super LC etc...
If superleggera with 570 hp did 0-200 in less than 9,5s it would be a miracle.

BTW, Lamborghini is going to present the successor to the Gallardo as a concept at the Frankfurt this September. Rumors claim that naturally aspirated V10 will be boosted up to 600 horses and 540 Nm. Already sounds perfect. And while the standard model would be equipped with 7-speed DCT and be AWD, but RWD with manual tranny will be offered too. I'd suppose Lamborghini will get rid of manuals very soon and to orient on performance only, but that's amazing they leave a model for true enthusiasts. So the successor (rumored to be called Cabrera) might be very impressive. I just hope they won't lame design.
