Hello again.
I managed to pick up a copy of this week's Autocar magazine today.
And these are the performance figures of the Lotus Eletre R,
I must say they are rather good considering that the car is an electric SUV.
Plus the fact that it is utterly detested by Lotus fans.
0-30 mph: 1.5 seconds.
0-40: 2.0.
0-50: 2.5.
0-60: 3.1.
0-70: 3.7.
0-80: 4.5.
0-90: 5.5.
0-100: 6.5.
0-110: 7.6.
0-120: 9.0.
0-130: 10.8.
0-140: 13.1
0-150; 16.2.
0-160: 20.8.
Top speed 165 mph.
F
Autocar gave the Eletre R 3.5 stars.
That's it from me Flt158.

Does any money from the selling of these SUVs go to the UK? I think the Origin country is wrong, it should be China. This is a Geely, not a Lotus. I am not British, but it seems wrong to me that a Geely gets to have the legendary Lotus name.

The fact that this car supposedly weighs over 2.4 tons truly shows there is no limit to absurdity when it comes to newer and bigger vehicles.
While not hating SUVs as a whole, what's the point of a 900 hp SUV that is slightly more practical than the average saloon (my Mondeo has only slightly less trunk space) with a weight that tires can't handle long term?
What's the point of going all green when we make more cars like these that only will help road builders tear up roads more often a year because people are never fed up with power and space they'll never use. I'm gonna quote TopCarsTV from 3 years ago real quick:
"There's now a whole category of sporty SUVs. And they're even competing which one's the fastest around the track. It's like competing who can eat a bowl of soup the fastest with a fork. In the end it exposed humanity for what it really is: desperately in love with arrogant, useless SH*T."
The only sporty SUV I could actually see as useful is the Porsche Cayenne from the early 2000s that humiliated plenty of cars off road.

This vehicle is an abomination, Lotus is a sports car maker that should stick to building lightweight sports cars. They have created an affront to Colin Chapman's legacy. Marques like Lotus used to mean something. What happened to simplify and add lightness? Stupid Utility Vehicles should not be badged as a Lotus. I miss cars like the Elise and Exige, they were real Lotus sports cars. It would have been better if Lotus had faded away rather than besmirch its legacy in my opinion.
