@FastestLaps
Also, should be added another track - Lime Rock Park, USA, 1.5 mile long. There are two laptimes for that track.

FastestLaps 8y ago
Track added. What is the length and/or configuration name that was used in handling test?
I think there are several layouts for that venue.

DeDe 8y ago
We should add "Auto Motor und Sport-Driving Center Gross Dölln" as a new track, that's where AMS conducted its handling test.

@Mental At least Mclaren does upgraded versions of Mp4-12c...What about Ferrari ? We still have the same 458 since 2009 that cant compare in terms of acceleration with Mp4.

Fangio Man 8y ago
Another new facelift? I will admit that I am a bit surprised about that, but in positive sense. I expected the "High Sport" to be the ultimate version of the MP4, maybe they would build a "High Sport Roadster", too.
Well, I will see what it is able to do.

Mental 8y ago
Sheesh.. only a year passed since the latest facelift, and now another?.. No, not like I'm not excited - MP4 will go even further!, but making a facelift every year is ridiculous. Why not just to create the ideal top version, with 730 hp and lots of torque, and manufacture it for years. I think this is how it should be... I hope McLaren will not "improve" MP4-12C exterior at least, I don't want to see it anyhow different to the current.

Seems this car is getting another upgrade and a facelift and it will be previewed in frankfurt auto show...they said an engine upgrate from 616 to 650 something (BHP)...????

If its Genuine, i say add it, im all for it, 10.5@134 is highly impressive for any car, But there quite wrong in saying its 2nd fastest behind a Veyron.

QA51M 9y ago
10.55 quarter mile time is on the STOCK TIRES. just read the article they wrote here :)

BR2' 9y ago
Theres also a recorded time of 10.5@134, but its also from the same driver, I believe its able to do that, but considering its the same guy, i dont know if its on the same non stock tyres though, but he did post the tyres hes used in the 10.3 video, and didnt in the 10.5, so its a very good chance it really is 100% stock.
Its also nice to say someone tke on of these cars to the strip, sorta tired of seeing the sam cars go there.

BR2' 9y ago
Thats Very Impressive!
Only problem is, Its running on Toyo R888 Tyres, which isnt an option on the MP4 12-C, and that counts as a modification, which isnt stock anymore.(Whihc is hilarious when the title says NO Modifications lol)
Also though, that Idle sound it made, doesnt sound stock, im not sure if its from a different car around the way, or the actual MP4.
A shame too, that got me pretty excited:(

Every time I hear somebody whining about hybrids to be not drivers cars, I imagine sirs with cigars ranting at the fireplace "What? Racing carriages without horses? That smelly and noisy thing is soulless, and carrying all that extra weight of that smoking thing. Why do you need that? No sir, the true passion racing is only possible using horses. And only pure horses, no bullshit harness racing. Harnesses are for noobs who don't know how to ride, you should ride the horse yourself. Harnesses stir the horse by itself, there is absolutely no connection with the animal. ... " and so on...

Kage 9y ago
@Mental
I think that is the only way to look at it. What would be the point of making 700+200ps car, or any hybrid car for that matter, if you could only have access to one or the other?
My guess would be it works like in all other hybrids. You can use electric engine at start and low speeds and at higher speeds both engines work together in synergy with petrol engine working full time and electric giving the boost when needed or at least something like that :)

BR2' 9y ago
If the P1 does come with 900Bhp, thats fine, But im not even gonna begin to believe with there statement "The most rewarding and best DRIVERS car"
Considering the MP4, and what it has, and 400Kph?...Well, considering the car has alot of DF, its probably unlikly, dunno though..

Ferrari driver 9y ago
@Mental
I found out that it is claimed with approximately 384 km/h (Wiki).
Also its power is claimed with over 950 PS there.
(But Wiki is not a believable source)
With "ultimate drivers car" I meant only for this decade.
I'm sorry if you were confused about that.
