IMO, Very few company's can pull of an open top version of the car that looks good or better with the roof off....And McLaren isn't one I'd them...

maybe there might have been a tail wind... or maybe Mclaren are deliberately claiming lower top speed figures

I could imagine McLaren to built a MP4 12C without roof, like SLR Stirling Moss or Aston Martin CC100 Speedster.

Normally I'm not a fan of convertibles, but this one looks tight, I like it.

Very impressive. The MP4-12C Spider is just slightly slower at the track than the coupe brother, and still remains to be a top-performer. Certainly, this is one of the best topless car ever.

I read the driver is Davide Fugazza and not the historical test driver M. Giani may be this could partially explain the results.

This Mclaren is an Insanly fast car.

It is realy weird that Ferrari hasnt made a lifting of 458 Italia...

458 is still an amazing car in every aspect Mp4-12c has atm 625 Hp and new 911 Turbo S is coming :) :)...And 458 is still the same as it was in 2009.

Have seen spider and coupe together and for first time ever, IMO, someone has made a spider look better than the coupe. Everyone I know who has actually seen both agree. The thing is stunning.

@supercharger, I agree 100% I have never ever seen a convertible that looks better than it's fixed head counterpart, I've always felt that with convertibles, that you're missing part of the car.

when supercars like this are made in to a convertible it just ruins the way it looks the smooth shape off the car just gets ruined when they turn them in to a convertible

the coupe version off supercars are always better looking in my opinion they have a smoother shape
