My estimated lap times
Motor Trend Figure-8: 24.1 sec @ 0.85 G
Nürburgring Nordschleife: 7:27
Top Gear Test Track (Power Lap): 1:20

How I estimated these lap times

FIGURE-8:
((900/(30/23)x(2118x2.20462262))/0.014)/650))x.78x.875

NORDSCHLEIFE:
((20600m/(300km/h/(252m*0.3048m))x(2118kg/650hp)/1.32g)x0.0095x0.75 for facelift model = 7:27

((20600m/(300km/h/(252m*0.3048m))x(2118kg/650hp)/1.32g)x0.0095x0.775 for pre-facelift model = 7:42

POWER LAP:
((4505lb+75kg)/650hp)x((1.75mi)x12)x.78x.7

The Mercedes is pretty much a German Dodge Hellcat, in the same way that its BMW rival is a German Cadillac Blackwing. The latter two are remarkably great on the track. The AMG only barely beats the Hellcat around the figure-8 track (AWD does give it a slight advantage though), and it produces even less grip (at 0.85 G around the figure-8, versus 0.94 G for the BMW and Dodge, and up to 0.99 G for the Cadillac) and stops at the longest distance from 300-0km/h between its four competitors, at 252m (versus 251m for the CT5-V Blackwing, 232m for the M5 Competition, and only 220m for the SRT Hellcat Redeye Charger).

W213 E63s Stock Dyno Test

Posted On FEBRUARY 8, 2018

https://www.ecctuned.com/w213-e63s-stock-dyno-run-eurocharged-canada-reviews

Quote>"Our customer dropped in with their brand new W213 chassis E63s to get some baseline numbers on the car.

Car made a healthy 557 AWHP & 597 AWTQ on our Dynojet Dyno
Red Graph – Comfort Mode.
Blue & Green Graph – Race Mode."

Dyno graph in the link.

But OFF THE CUFF from memory, not as strong as the BMW V8's. Still a very healthy number!

I'm starting to think that this page should be kept as a separate one. The facelift W213 E63 versus the pre-facelift isn't quite the same as the facelift F90 M5 vs the original. Why? Because AMG is more effective with performance enhancement changes (even if it doesn't involve power change), whereas M is usually just focused on the detailing of the car (few exceptions include the 1980s and '90s M-cars).

The facelift E63S was actually better designed to keep up with true semi-track monsters like M5 CS and CT5-V Blackwing instead of M5 Competition (and the CTS-V predecessor of the Blackwing) like the old E63S because of revised suspension and spring kits.

But then there's always the Acura TLX Type S and the Maserati Ghibli Trofeo, which are already more roadcourse-focused than they are straightline-focused. Those are not as powerful, albeit much more mature and subtle than likes of the E-Class AMG and 5 Series M models.

Do we really need this page? The "older" E63S that didn't have the facelift performed much better (especially to 200 km/h) with the same exact specs. Mercedes didn't change anything outside of the exterior work, and even then just barely.

This needs to be redirected to the pre-facelift page so that we can see these comments below as well!

And you wonder why there's no LCI page on here for the M5 and M5 Competition. For the same reason why this doesn't need a page, BECAUSE IT'S POINTLESS.

I've read rumours that the next E63 AMG will utlise a four cylinder engine with hybrid electric assistance?

311 lol

it's a bit slower than the pre-facelift, could it be because the engine is still brand new and needs to run harder ? i know they suck the first 1,500 km and everything is slow as hell and you're stuck with a 4000 rpm.

A facelift certainly isn't enough for a double page creation. This is the same exact car as it was in 2016.

The new c-klasse will not be getting a v6 or v8, this is one of the last amg cars with v8 and maybe in s-klasse.

rip amg v8.
