Hot take: the original AMG GT was the first standalone car Mercedes (and AMG) ever made that could properly turn. The 190E Evo was a homologation car, the 500E was built in cooperation with Porsche, the SLR McLaren was in cooperation with... you guessed it. And the C63 AMG Black Series was an almost 200k car that was slightly faster than the M3 GTS. So yeah, the AMG GT changed that world view in a sense.

Definetly could be, But has any MB ever been a "Handling Bliss"? Rather then a straight hooligan?..

Could be the best handling MB ever, Dunno, But i think it will still be the same Benz as always, But thats not a bad thing.

They were able to make a C63 Amg black series that could handle very well. So who is to say this lighter better balanced sportscar with less power wont be a handling bliss? Time will tell. Fingers crossed.

This will be a tire munching joke, A straight hooligan, But with most likely more precision then an SLS, MB has always been that, Doubt it will change now.

I like how Mercedes is giving Porsche a run for their money, cuz 911s have been good, but really expensive. You always get the feeling Porsche is leaving things off the table and not giving the best of what they have, yet asking for a lot of money.

That being said, lets hope this AMG GT isn't going to be another tire munching joke. People use Porsches for track day cuz they really work all day... not just a few laps.

@ Shaggy, agreed, It does look good! I'm looking forward to seeing this in a track battle against a 911, should be a very interesting comparison :)
