AMG GT63 Pro competition
It's an interesting and very wel 8m ago
This car isn't a track-day monster. It's about something else. The whole concept of the new Mercedes GT Coupe is slightly different from its predecessor. Those were meant to compete with the GT3 and GT3 RS, and they did, and were even faster cars. However, it's very challenging to drive. Not every customer goes straight to the track, and even if they do, they won't necessarily repeat the same experience. The new model is designed to be easier to drive to harness the power. The PRO version provides efficient brake and gearbox cooling to prevent the car from "swelling" under extreme performance. The 4x4 drivetrain is lightweight, which adds stability, and even an inexperienced driver feels confident behind the wheel. It's a beautiful car with the right configuration. A major change in configuration – many colors and a variety of rims. I drove it recently, and it gives you the confidence of a Turbo S, or even more. An excellent car. More thrilling than the Turbo due to the noise and gurgling, but also provides comfort – a super GT. A truly successful design. Not a track killer, that's for sure.

Very impressive...beats the last gen GT R

Internal Test Driver's unofficial times have this matching the last gen GT R's time on The Ring. That puts this well above the 488 GTB and just around 10 seconds off the Pista (on the same tyres).
The hardcore variants this gen are gonna be very interesting to see. This is still just a slightly modified 63 "S" variant on all accounts. That extra dynamism from Active Ride Control seems to be paying off well.
Also, for tyres if two can be added, pls, someone edit in the Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 as well. The 2 Rs are a no cost option, but not standard in most markets (the UK probably will only get the S 5s). They're only standard on the limited Motorsport launch edition.

Just like 992 GT3 RS uses 991 cab, 2nd-gen AMG GT2 uses 1st-gen cab.

Im sorry but this car does not deserve the Pro badging. S fine but a 2 ton GT being called the pro is insane when it will be worse in every performance metric when compared to a 911 turbo let alone the gt3 rs. The amg gt-r pro was truely a monster but this? This is a sad marketing attempt for an extra 20hp (literally software).
