"Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE (2023) - BOOST strategy demonstration>
"New in the C 63 S E PERFORMANCE, it is possible in TRACK PACE to intelligently distribute the use of electric energy over a racetrack lap in order to optimise the lap time with the targeted use of the electric motor’s
power. This track-based boost strategy is already stored for 30 well-known racetracks. It is to be expanded gradually to a total of 70 circuits via download."

SLOWER than the 510hp M3 Comp Xdrive in the 1/4
(11.20 vs 11.21)
lol they made the c63 slower than its key rival and soulless in comparison and you arent making 680bhp all the time.. BMW is clearly the better buy, id even have an rs4 over this in a heart beat.

I don't really like neither this neither the GT63 E performance. Both are way too heavy for my taste. And, most of the performance gained by the hybrid stuff gets eaten up by it's own weight...

There was a point in my life when I wanted a C63, but I’d always worry about them being money pits after a few years. But the V8 was always a pull at the heart strings.
This new one is obviously going to be have worst reliability, and it’s also lost the biggest selling point of it.

Changes
Quoted>"
1) Name to C63 S E Performance.
2) And ‘a minimum’ of 752lb ft.*
3) Tipping the scales at 2111kg.
4) Power 670bhp (469bhp @ 6725rpm + 201bhp)
Torque 725lb ft (402lb ft @ 5250-5500 + 236lb ft)."
There could be other changes. I'll look at the detailed press releases etc shortly, if they available.
But she's heavy! Car Magazine were spot on!

I trust Car Magazine alot. Not as much as another magazine but still their research is usually first rate. THEY were the ones that broke the Bugatti and Rimac deal news FIRST.
Anyway unfortunately on this occasion it's not exactly the greatest of news!
Quote>"The hybrid hardware adds approximately 200kg, taking the total close to 2000kg."
That's pretty high. It's bordering on Bugatti Chiron weights! I guess we'll have to wait for the tests but the power to weight ratio will obviously suffer so acceleration will too.

Normally I prefer imports>domestics (as I have for decades) but in this case scenario the CT5-V Blackwing will outlast it in terms of durability, reliability, value... plug in hybrid/EV is hardly the future, too heavy and electronically corrupt. I have sat in a 2023 c43 amg and dang the touchscreen is pretty big, 2022 ct5-v just feels like a normal sports sedan to me

4 cyl in a C63
Idc if it "runs better" than a V8 C63 performance wise
This is just a big F U from Mercedes to themselves
They made the EQ series so that they wouldn't slaughter their original lineup and make them full electric but then they slaughtered them anyways
I hope this is the last Mercedes that gets destroyed like this
Or one can hope that it's a V8 under there but it's silent because of PPFs and shet like that
