G 63 competition

One of the most single-handedly overrated performance vehicles ever made, alongside the Cadillac Escalade-V. AMG and the V-series used to be for car enthusiasts who actually sometimes bothered to tune and rice out their cars. Nowadays, everyone and their dog owns a G63 AMG.
This is really nothing more than a G63 AMG in name only; older G63s and G65s were true AMGs, but this is not an AMG. In other words, a pre-facelift G550 with great handling and remapped turbos. Anyone can buy an AMG now. Back then it was either an enthusiast, a spec sheet nerd, or a divorced father living a midlife crisis.
Some AMGs are actually deserving of the name. The GT63 for example, the S63 also. Even the C63 hybrid, despite its flaws. But this, ain’t it. An electric G580 beats a G63.

In Uganda these things are one of the most common mercedes, they are sooo common to the point that they are no longer head turners.

The Mercedes-AMG G63's only real rivals are the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 and Land Rover Defender 110 V8, if you think about it. All three trucks are purposefully built for high-performance first, while off-roading comes second. They're also pretty similar in size (including weight).
