Top speed limiter depends on the trim level and the factory tires.

Top speed is off. I own a 2010 Maxima and stock the limiter would kick in and stop it at 150mph. With that disabled it can reach as high as 160mph from what I have seen.

Even though this compares with full-size cars like the Toyota Avalon, Hyundai Azera, BMW 5 Series, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, its got midsize dimensions to have better fuel economy and keep the insurance bugs away.

If you want a MIDSIZE family sedan UNDER 30K then the Passat 3.6 SEL VR6 is one of the very fastest if not THE FASTEST.

If dollar per speed for a sedan is your biggest issue then you wouldn't want a Passat either. LOL

You can save some money and get a 2012 Passat 3.6 SEL which is faster than this Maxima.
Passat 5.7 0-60, 14.2 1/4 mile @100.9 mph, and 119 feet in 60-0.

You should see how much less the 4th generation maximas weigh than the GTR.

The engine in the GTR is huge.. in fact its V6 weighs more than any of the LS series V8's used in the vettes. Add to that the AWD drive train.. and yes.. it is a brick!
