60 mph in 3,9?!!
That's another example of cheating from Pontiac and C&D.
And the most funny is that despite using a highly modified Pontiac and full engineering support from factory, it was still slower on the track than Ferrari 2+2 grand tourer.

No shortage of total bullshit claims. It would be lucky to do 0-60mph in 5 sec.

"I think that it would be pretty hard to ever accept the Pontiac as a sports car. Sports cars have traditionally been small two-seaters, and the Pontiac—even though it will do practically everything that the Ferrari will do"
I think they got payed to say that

More like 7 in stock form.

Definitely.

We must pay tribute to them, US in the next few years have created a number of great track cars that can compete with the bests of European automakers. But this "test", along with GTO vs GTO, will unfortunately remains a black spot on the C&D reputation.

More like 0-40 in 3.9 seconds, if it's lucky.

Here is a stock 421 Catalina doing 14sec quarter-mile times (I didn't watch the whole video)

In that case, how did you determine that it was stock?

Aside from the C&D ringer ones, these are the only numbers I could find on a Catalina 2+2.
