Fast standing kilometer because:
Launch control and fast PDK shifting
Good grip because of rear engine
Small frontal area gives low wind resistance
Official 0-200 with PDK and sport+ is 15,4 seconds. It can probably get close too 15,0, since it has tested 9,4 0-160, official number is 9,7.
dag johnsen 14y ago
That explains the slow laptime, car should be good for low to mid 1.11 laps with all the extras.
dag johnsen 14y ago
The Hockenheim laptime is a manual, but is it sport PASM on the car? Time actually seems slow, wonder about the spec of the testcar.
Looks like a very standard car, since no sports exhaust if you look at the cover.

With PDK and Sport Chrono+ my guess is right below 15 seconds 0-200. Porsche says 15.4 in the handbook, but because it does 9.4 0-160 (tested in Italian AUTO)and handbook says 9.7 it would probably squeeze under 15 seconds.
The problem is that many tests are done with manual box, and numbers are quite different than PDK with Sport+ mode.
A video from the Ring driving together with brothers Panamera Turbo :-)
7.46 still my lap record BTG due to heavy traffic this weekend

Cheese, that sounds toooo slow! It surely must be below 15.0 s! I wonder how AMS usually gets so slow results.
Unlike most of the magazines, AMS tests with 2 persons onboard. Just like Sport Auto.
Btw. Sport Auto: they will compare the very same 911 Carrera against the new M6 in their next issue.

Hello,
a full lap is impossible for normal people, the long straight is closed during tourist driving.Based on the Ballacco time difference (1.15 seconds in almost 3 minutes)my guess is 4-6 seconds difference at the Ring.
British 14y ago
Dag: great videos but (as you point out clearly) they are not full laps, any chance of you doing a full one? The Porsche video for the C2S is a full-lap @ 7:37.9 is about 18 seconds faster than the 3.4. Cannot argue with the value for money of the 3.4 C2 though but as in everything motorsport, those 18 seconds of extra speed are probably 1500 euros each....

Here is my 7.46 BTG lap at the Nürburgring:

My guess is below 7.45 sport auto lap (20600 meters) with a pro driver.
