Newer cars are more powerful but the thing is, there's no substitute for having less weight--The key to all things good :)

The price in 1974 was in Germany 65.000DM about 1/3 less than a Countach LP400 cost in Germany. To get that in the right view... a VW Polo has cost 8.000DM a Golf 9.000DM a top of the line super luxry Mercedes 450SEL 44.000DM

one of the most hardcore 911 ever build, only 109 were sold, main reason was the for the time astronoic price...twice as high than the 1973 Carrera RS 2.7... in 1974 a 375hp Lamborghini Countach LP 400 was not able to follow this car up to 160km/h.
This car still holds a record... till today the lightest street legal production 911 ever build... about 50% ofthe cars were registered as road car the other 50% were used for racing.
