Every version of the cts-v has a base price of 63.66k.

You can't exactly criticize the cts-v's appearance on the panamera page either. lol, irony...

Also, it might not be the fastest but it's the best bang for the buck and that's good enough for me.

I have nothing against the CTS-V either other than it looks like it was designed by a 10 year old using only a ruler and the coupe version looks really goofy with that massive rear end. And it’s weird that the more expensive, uglier, heavier and slower versions (coupe, wagon) cost more than the sedan. But yeah GM owes everyone an apology for the outright lies claiming the CTS-V as being the > WORLD’S FASTEST PRODUCTION SEDAN

. Everyone else but > GM

seems to have gotten that memo.

To this very day May 24,2011 GM continues to state that the CTS-V is the WORLD'FASTEST PRODUCTION SEDAN.. What in the hell is wrong with these people??? The Porsche Panamera turbo blows it's doors off.

GM still makes the claim. TV commercials, magazine ads, etc. I've seen them recently.

Even the one bragging on the windshield wipers (seriously?) calls the car "the world's fastest production sedan".

"When you build the world's fastest production sedan, you consider everything. Like at 190mph, even a simple raindrop becomes a powerful force. The Cadillac CTS-V, every detail built for speed and performance, right down to the windshield wipers. We don't just make luxury cars, we make Cadillacs."

(I actually like the CTS-V and like the coupe even more but lies aren't needed to tell how good it is)

I dont think GM is still staking a claim as the fastest sedan. I know they did right after they lapped the ring but once the porsche beat their time I never heard of any advertizing or press releases from GM claiming to be fastest.

Yeah, I didn't think the CTS-V had the highest top speed.

No matter how GM claims it, it still isn't true.

Top speed is NOT the CTS-V (Bentley Flying Spur Speed has a higher top speed).

1/4 mile is NOT the CTS-V (Panamera Turbo with and without Sport Chrono is quicker. Powerkit option makes it even easier for the Porsches).

Laptimes (incl. Nordschleife) is NOT the CTS-V (Panamera Turbo beats the CTS-V on EVERY track they've shared).

0-60mph/0-100kph is NOT the CTS-V (Panamera Turbo with and without options is quicker).

I think they're going off of the CTS-V's top speed. Even so, I don't know if it is in fact the fastest sedan in that regard.

Yeah Government Motors (GM) needs to stop the BS claims about the CTS-V being "The Fastest Sedan in the World".

This Porsche as well as the Audi RS4 beat the CTS-V at the ring and GM still CONTINUES TO LIE and claim the CTS-V is the WORLD\'s FASTEST PRODUCTION SEDAN based on the ring time. If they\'d argue using top speed, then the Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed is the fastest. GM are bunch of liars. I called out their reps at the auto show and they LIED to my face claiming that I didn\'t know what I was talking about.
The douchebags claimed that the CTS-V beat the Panamera Turbo and the Audi RS4 at the ring.

I read about the auto-shut off at red lights. Anyone know how long you have to be stopped before the engine shuts itself off?

Would it really save enough fuel to have the car shut itself off at every red light? I\'d find that feature pretty annoying.

Neither Cayenne nor Panamera have future.

Sales numbers tell otherwise...

Since hitting showrooms worldwide in September 2009, the Panamera has sold 22,185 copies across all corners of the globe. According to Porsche, that's earned it a 13-percent share of the luxury sport sedan market in just one year's time. Leading the charge has been the all-wheel drive Panamera 4S, with 9394 vehicles sold worldwide as of September 1. It's followed by the AWD Panamera Turbo with 6171 sales and the rear-wheel drive Panamera S with 4563 sales. The new V-6 base model, on sale only for a few weeks globally, has already found 2390 customers and is well on its way to taking over the sales lead.

its called a Mistake *******, dont act like youv never made one b4, not that much difference between .27 n .29, anyhoo, even with that i dont believe porsches claims, even a Gallardo has the same power and worse Drag, and that manages a higher top speed, same with an 03 Viper, so either there lying bout the Cd, or its power is ALOT more than suggested, even with that PDK.

@anonymous

stop claiming BULLSHIT...

Porsche never ever claimed the cd of the Panamera is 0.27
on their homepage they claim 0.29 for the Panamera S model and 0.30 for all other including the Turbo

cd is only half of the aerodynmaic... the frontal surface area is even more important and compared to other luxury 4door the Panamera frontal surface area is very small

the real important number is the airindex.. which is cd x frontal surface area ...

little help for aerodynamic newbees..

Considering its top speed is only 190mph, i Highly doubt Porsche\'s claim of Cd.27 is real.

I've seen a few on the road now and every time I see one I reconfirm my own view that the Panamera is one ugly car! Maserati GranTurismo is far better looking if you need a fast 4 seater with a supercar badge. I repeat.... just my opinion.....

This is more proof that AWD cars with Dual Clutch Transmissions beat regular RWD MT cars even when the RWD MT cars have far more power. 997.2 911 Turbo CRUSHED the ZR1 in 1/4 mile, GTR crushed ZO6 everywhere, and now the the Panamera is beating just about every RWD MT Sports Sedan.

This 7:56 time was a porsche unofficial release that has NO PROOF to it still. This time is not recognized by any legit websites like wiki nor sportauto who first reported this claimed time by porsche. So why is this time still up in here?

@crap most likely is that after 200km/h the Panamera kick the CTS-V ass even harder... the Panamera is a extrem aerodynamic slick car... completely flat underbody..after 160km/h the aerodynamic force increase in square... the faster they get the Panamera advantage over any other sedan increase..

I saw one of these yesterday, it looks better in real life. 4000lbs, 0-60 3.9, 500bhp. 500 torques. 4wd. I can beleive these figures. No way bmw 335s or Audi, same weight, can get near this performance with 320 bhp and 330 torques.
