Porsche Taycan was on fire from the moment it was announced as it is the fastest and best built EV in the world.

Musk's response to Gates buying a Porsche Taycan “My conversations with Gates have been underwhelming tbh.” I imagine that Gates might be somewhat boring but just because he bought a Taycan over a Tesla doesn't mean it's ok to pay him out on Twitter. What a twat...

User avatar

FastestLaps  4h ago @SpeedKing

It is super likely that, if not Gates himself, someone in his family or in his close circle has a Tesla also. So it is not a Tesla vs Porsche story, although that's the narrative that creates all the attention and clicks in the media.

As far as Gates being "underwhelming"- let's be real, Elon Musk is not on Gates level, so he better keep his ego in check.

The fact that Musk felt the need to voice his disapproval on Twitter by belittling Gates for buying a Taycan speaks volumes about himself. He reminds me of a spoilt brat who throws a tantrum whenever he doesn't get his own way. It's pathetic behaviour but this is who Eeloon really is and that's just one of the reasons i can't stand him..

I actually rather like him or at least don't have reasons to specifically dislike him. But I am definitely in his fan club and I don't view him as any kind of genius or great visionary.

"But I am definitely in his fan club" Did you mean NOT in his fan club?

Have fun. I am not interested. I am in Church of F50. Did you know the F50 Formula 1 derived V12 sound has actual healing powers?

User avatar

aaayy  4h ago @FastestLaps

Hello, sir, do you know about the F50, our lord and savior?

User avatar

SpeedKing  4h ago @FastestLaps

I absolutely love the sound of the F50 but after hearing the Murcielago SV roaring around a race track that is for me the best sounding V12 i've ever heard.

User avatar

True, I love the sound of a good Bizzarini V12. Personally, my favorite sounding cars are the Lexus LFA and the Porsche Carrera GT. I love V10s.

Please add the following figures:

0-100mph: 6.1s
1/4 mile: 10.7s @ 131.6mph

The Taycan TurboS acceleration figures going by the speedo is 0-200 km/h in approx 8.8 sec which would destroy the Tesla P100D and a shitload of supercars as well.

Performance data is absolutely wild. I wasn't expecting Porsche to compete with and beat Model S P100D, but they did. I guess to prove a point. Let's see if these numbers can be replicated by independent testers.

Hat's off to the Volkswagen Group. First, Bugatti broke 300 mph, than they debuted the Lamborghini Sian and now the Porsche Taycan EV. Great job on the Taycan for styling. Probably the best looking EV this side of the Lotus Evija.

are there really any turbos under the hood ? or are they just being plain stupid and stubborn germans as usual ?
