Hello, one and all on Fastest Laps and Happy New Year for 2024!
I finally got to page 100 of my Autocar magazine that's dated 20/27 December 2023, and read the entire 8 page test of the Rolls Royce Spectre and we all know it is a coupe at this stage.
I am of the opinion that the car is quick enough for one that is so seriously heavy.
Here are the all important acceleration figures in miles per hour with no roll-out of course. 👍
0-30: 2.0.
0-40: 2.6.
0-50: 3.3.
0-60: 4.1.
0-70: 5.1.
0-80: 6.3.
0-90: 7.6.
0-100: 9.1.
0-110: 10.9.
0-120: 12.9. I like this figure. It's definitely quick.
0-130: 15.5.
0-140: 19.9.
Top speed: 155 mph.
Other figures:
Weight: 2890 kilos.
Price in UK:£332,055.
But after all the options were fitted to this particular Spectre: £444,315. 🤔
And yet on page 105, Autocar suggests the Spectre is not particularly high! Who are they kidding? Imagine paying £1350 for a pair of umbrellas. LOL!
But the car is extremely refined: 55 DBA at 50mph.
The interior is truly luxurious.
Autocar award 4 stars for design and engineering. (I would give it 5 stars personally). 5 stars for the interior, 4.5 stars for multimedia system, 5 stars for performance. 4.5 stars for handling and stability, 4.5 stars for comfort and isolation.
Autocar measured those 2 coupe doors: 4600 millimetres wide. Colossal for sure!
They award the car 4.5 stars overall.
Which I agree with.
Autocar didn't drive the Spectre on a track sadly.
On the issue of the technical layout, the weight distribution is 47% front, 53% rear. It would be interesting if it oversteers on some YouTube video. But the car has four wheel drive and four wheel steering. But it probably won't at all.
Opinions and further thoughts are very welcome.
Finally I must ask the question: Will anyone here on Fastest Laps ever see one of these Rolls Royce Spectres?
Safe driving for 2024 to everyone from Flt 158.

Power and torque matches V12 turbo. More than plenty enough. And the electric nature of it makes for absolutely smooth and silent luxury drive.
