This was the saddest era of the muscle car, especially for Chrysler Corporation. They had not a single (both) good-quality and good-performance car they built themselves after they killed off the Mexican-exclusive Magnum coupe until the LH cars came out (barring the Viper, of course). I'm NOT saying those LH cars EVER WERE muscle cars, though.
Ford's Lima Fox body, GM's Iron Duke F-bodies and naturally aspirated 3800 G-bodies were still superior to these sad 2.2 K-bodies. The M-body, despite having rear-wheel drive, was never given any high-performance treatment. Very, very sad days for Chrysler.
