Why is this the best selling car in California? I really do not understand the attraction. Here is what Car and Driver said about the Tesla Model Y dual motor long range: "This Model Y came with the one feature we've come to expect in all Teslas: shoddy fit and finish. We noted inconsistent gaps between the body panels—not all of which sit flush, by the way. There's a definite orange-peel effect to the paint, which also had some chips fresh from the factory, according to the owner. A few wires hang in the open from the dashboard into the passenger's footwell. Tesla placed the tire-pressure sticker on the door jamb in such a way that the white label peeks through the gap between the front fender and the door panel. And a series of persistent creaks and rattles from the back seat and cargo area made the owner send this car back to Tesla for a fix. The company says the rattle is a known problem without a solution, so the owner found a workaround. He slightly reclines part of the rear bench to stop the seatbacks from rubbing against one another." I myself have seen a Tesla broken at the side of the road with a collapsed suspension. Despite these obvious problems, they are extremely popular. I see them everywhere.

I have noticed that in the Autocar issue dated 12th October 2022 gave acceleration figures in seconds for the Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD. These figures are in MPH.
0-30 = 2.2.
0-40 = 3.0.
0-50 = 3.8.
0-60 = 4.7.
0-70 = 5.9.
0-80 = 7.1.
0-90 = 9.4.
0-100 = 10.5.
0-110 = 15.6.
0-120 = 15.6.
0-130 = 19.3.
They were comparing these figures with the Genesis Electrified G80.
At first the G80 was quicker until 80mph. Then the Model Y proved quicker.

Hard to believe that something with a worse power-to-weight ratio than a Dodge Charger R/T or Toyota Camry TRD V6 is going to do a quarter-mile in 13.1 sec @ 111 mph, especially an American car since it's not underrated by the factory!! (With rollout subtraction, I assume that is 12.8-12.9 sec!)

And this is not even a Performance nor has the acceleration upgrade!
