I agree, electric cars are currently useless for anything other than strictly for a daily commute to and from work. I have a friend in Maryland that has one (a Leaf I think) which is used just for the daily commute, and maybe a stop to the store on the way home. Not a car for long trips that's for sure.

@ Fangio Man: When I went to Maryland with my mom last weekend, it was a 700 mile, 14 hour drive in her 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan which averages 23 MPG. Imagine that trip in an electric car! 8O

13 hours recharging?

Imagine you have ot drive 500 miles. You have to recharge (atleast) 9 times! You lose 117 hours for recharging!

All in all: You are faster with a bike!? LOL?

You know this car can only travel 50 miles on a single charge under normal driving conditions, right, and it takes 13 hours to recharge if you run out of electricity, charging stations are very, very few and far between, and you'd look like an idiot driving one, and like a jackass plugging it in like a nightlight.

Dont listen to that fool, that whole braking down part was faked, along with it getting passed by an Elise.

was the top gear review on this car one sided? jeremy said it kept breaking down. how reliable is this car?

ive seen one too... white convertibles are usually for gays only though lol (my sister lives by that). it did catch attention though my friend who cant really tell even a ferrari from a lambo still took a second look.

any word on price? the bas Tesla is already a staggering $138,000/£92,000, so how much will this one go for? not that i would pay it..lol
