GR GT competition

Engine sits better and smaller than the Corvette. I'm guessing it's better than any rear trans. Vette, on purpose.

This engine makes 450 hp or so without the electric assist. Even Wikipedia shows 650 combined. That's pathetic. And it's not even a flat-plane engine, it's a crossplane, which makes things even worse. That means at top speed it makes 550 hp. It should NOT be compared to a GT-R, an NSX, or even a Corvette. It's a Mustang competitor. Not saying Ford is perfect. Their Dark Horse SC and this GR GT both are total flops. If the Camaro and Challenger were still around, these cars would not even come close to $100,000.

Below is a comparison between the GR GT’s body-in-white and its integrated rear transaxle/differential layout and that of the C190-generation AMG GT. I may have to pour a bit of cold water on the discussion here, but I don’t think this car is going to be particularly advanced from a technical standpoint.
The C190 AMG GT uses a front subframe with extensive cast components, whereas Toyota relies almost entirely on welded aluminum construction. On the C190 AMG GT, the driveshafts are equal in length, and the differential is perfectly integrated with the transmission, allowing for a true equal-length half-shaft setup.
Toyota, on the other hand, because it is using a heavily modified 4Runner-derived transmission, has to mount the differential at an angle via a power take-off unit. As a result, the driveshafts aren’t even equal in length — and this is on a 650-horsepower car.

This car reminds me of Tesla's Cybertruck disguised as a coupe car.
It's like the Go-Go Gadget mobile.

Anyways, I was Bugatti4Life, Bugatti4Life 2.0, 3.0, etc as well as ZR1X2026 and ZR1X2024 before finally getting my own full account!

Is the center console display made by some kind of an aftermarket brand? Looks like Kenwood that slides in and out?

This has to be the weakest V8 engine out there with a turbo and hybrid system.
Everyone is pushing over 800hp and Toyota just barely made a jump from 560 hp to 650 hp.
This is either a 4 cylinder engine or some kind of end of the year prank.

@Z31Turbo84 i think you should put V8 as the first thing in the engine description.

Apparently the prices start at 500k which is insane for a Japanese car with 488 GTB power
