Unbelievable! 920 PS from 1.8 liters... 0-100 2.3, 0-200 5.4... Mad! ;D
I wondered the engine is OK after ride. I'd expect it blow!
Why would anyone bother getting Veyron, when you can create something like this from the Golf?
BTW, it liked the exterior of this monsterous Golf. :)

Oh yes! Oh yes! Such a magnificent piece of super-engineering is this car! Being one of the most powerful cars in the world, it usually eats vipers and corvettes for dinner! What a beast!!!

i had one of these...sure it has a turbocharger
FastestLaps 12y ago
No. These have atmospheric engines - it even says that on this page "4cyl 16V n/a". As far as I know, forced induction was introduced only starting from 4th generation.

are these cars turbo charged?, i tried searching for specs for it. it says GTI so im assuming it is.

Can I add the 139 PS version and the Jetta GT (also 139 PS)?
chris macrory 13y ago
I had the early (small bumpers) 16v and trust me it's got to be one of the best hot hatches ever, sounds amazing goes well level on the corners, and it's 139bhp felt like much more
fanis 14y ago
the 16v golf gti was 139hp with kr engine.
Georg 16y ago
the 129hp version was with cat without it was 139hp (8.4s 0-100km/h)
