Sportier setup and less weight. The M440i, despite having the M plate, is not meant for the track.

True, but id assume this would also beat an m340i on track too? Which imo is impressive (in aus these are starting from 68k aud brand new and the m340i’s are going for almost 114k aud brand new) so where i live this is a practical performance bargaib

That's crazy money for a 3 series... I mean I am aware the BMW is in a higher segment, but for the same performance you can't go wrong with the Golf.

Exactly! Australia has huge taxes on cars, especially since LCT was introduced (luxury car tax) which means most german and British car manufacturers have absurd prices for their cars.
