2002 and 2003 were crazy years for powerful hatchbacks. Sure the R32 and the AR 147 GTA weren't the first 200hp car in its segment, but having a top speed of 250 kph was a huge deal back in the day. Not to mention most powerful cars were usually limited there. Europeans at least.
M3? Wasn't faster on the Autobahn. RS4? Not outrunning those either. You needed at least a Porsche 911 to get a decent gap between them. At least, in Germany
