Little update, seems they're back to the ring, they got some upgrade, like competent tyres for one, and an active fan system to optimize the flow of the rear, and the rumor is, new 1500V ish plaform with over 2000ps. Test footage indicates it pulls hard than the su7u on the straight.

Chinese official press' post to congrets SU7U's 7:04.957 Ring lap. But the point is, it says "the first attempt of Chinese brands on the Nurburgring is enough to lead the production ev leaderboard."
Wonder how BYD sees about that. Tho to be fair the U9's certification of the 7:17 lap is still no where to be found.

@FastestLaps please change the horse power to 960kW/1306ps, and the torque 1680NM

Update: with the situation escalation, there's new info about why byd's certificate plate is purple while other's are all red:
It appears that byd and the ring official had an 'agreement'----byd can promote this laptime by using a self made certificate plate that looks just like the real one, before the real certification went through except it's purple.

News: the 7:17.9 lap seems did not certified by the ring official, at least not yet. So they seem to either published the lap with the certification still pending, which according to the ring official, should not be published, or at least not as a 'certified lap', or this is not certified by the ring at all, they did the time themselves. Either way, they lure the public to think this lap is 'legit' without the ring official's involvement, and clipping footage from an already certified 7:32 lap.
