Forza Motorsport 4.

Nothing to this day has beaten it imho for community, accessibility, variety and most of all pure fun. There are plenty of games that are better in certain aspects but this was probably the most complete racing game experience I ever got to be a part of.

recently got into NFS Porsche Unleashed (so far it's been really enjoyable), I really like the career/evolution mode structure, with progressing through the years and cars' prices changing with time :)

picked Other because I genuinely have no idea

the three most important things in a racing game for me are the carlist, the vibes (the soundtrack and sometimes the story) and the physics

oh and also don't forget to include a quickrace mode

Assetto Corsa with mods would be my pick. Apparently there are mods for adding both the base C6 Corvette and the 970 Panamera S.

I have no idea about racing games. I have driven lots of cars in real life, but I haven't played racing games. Are they any good? Do any have a C6 Corvette or Panamera S in the game?

I would definitely add Test Drive here. After all, it was both the foundation for modern racing games and predecessor of Forza Horizon (TDU with wide open world and focus on car and houses collection was released six years before)

Need for Speed for nostalgic reasons. It was THE SHIT in my primary school years.

Gran Turismo or Assetto Corsa
