Personally for me, it's a tie between the 210 and the 214. The new model doesn't really exceed at anything compared to the 213 and before (except in gaining weight and super futuristic haptics) and it doesn't have any decent AMG variants yet.
The 210 essentially exists to be unreliable so Mercedes would financially gain again with spare parts because the 124 would run until apocalypse. Cool cars, but good luck finding one that hasn't succumbed to age.

I think 210 and 211 are similarly (un)reliable. 210 actually had overall more reliable engines. Its the low quality rustproofing/sheet metal that really made it suck. All Benzes in that era were AWFUL in this regard, especially things like commercial vans - a 1960s Lancia submerged in 100% surphuric acid rusts slower than late 90s/2000s Sprinter van in normal winter driving.
