Good result, thought people didn't like Maserati!

Doesn’t the AMG GT R Pro perform almost as well as a GT3 on track?
humana 1w ago @jeremyclarkson1
Doesnt appear so https://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/71c4f7pvv1il
jeremyclarkson1 1w ago @humana
The car in the comparison test is the AMG GT 63 Pro, which is a completely more lazy and softer car
jeremyclarkson1 1w ago @07CorvetteZ51
Glad we’re thinking about the same car at least
That GT3 is on Cup 2 R, whereas the GT R Pro is on a Cup 2 ZP, which only makes it more impressive
jeremyclarkson1 1w ago @humana
Well the 992.1 is a 2021, the R8 GT is a 2023 and the MC20 is a 2024-2025 (I think), putting a 2019 into the comparison seems okay considering the big gaps between the other cars already . The AMG GT 63 Pro is simply a boat as well

I think I'd take the R8 tbh.
Very unique sound, and that one episode of the TG trio taking the R8, McLaren and Ferrari spyder on a road trip showed that the R8 was built just that little bit more resilient to wear and tear. Yeah the show was scripted but it'd be a nonsense bias to do all that for a low level joke:
Would be a nice car for a weekender or special night out.

I didn't choose the AMG because I am scared of it. Seems like the kind of car that will kill you the moment you turn off traction control 🥴
FastestLaps 1w ago @JustSomeDude
To be fair, from Harry Metcalfe's review of MC20 I get the impression that twin turbo V6 is absolute torque bomb also, it's just that MC20 is mid-engine and rather heavy overall.
Ironically it's the 911 that is probably the most "safe" feeling of all these.
JustSomeDude 1w ago @FastestLaps
Best depreciation, pretty good quality and very dynamic suspension thus road handling isn't bad. Yeah the 911 is a pretty good one.
Probably the most outlandish in a carpark though but that said, they're all kinda like that to some extent
Corvolet3 1w ago
GT3 is only good on track if it has the best tires, an expert driver and it's on the Nürburgring.
The MC20 only has a V6 so easy pass on that.
The AMG GTR Pro is wonderful, but not exactly the latest tech and not the most noise.
I'll take the R8.

Porsche ... there is no substitute! If I could afford it, I would definitely choose the 911 GT3.

a Rubystone Red GT3 Touring, please!

Bro rolled up and immediately scored an own-goal on himself by resorting to personal insults LMAO

The GT3 is going to hold its value the best. Also it looks the best, Maserati, my second choice, shot itself in the foot with the forged carbon and the ugly purple-blue color that seems to be on all of them.
FastestLaps 1w ago @196ss
MC20 looks so good that you have a lot of room to allow for functional tacky-ness and still have a fundamentally great looking supercar.
Corvolet3 1w ago
GT3 holds its value because of Porsche rtards who think their cars are so much more valuable than they actually are.
Also looks the best? Bro, the 992 is hideous. Anyone who's been even remotely close to a 997.2 or 991.2 can discover that the new gen is worse in most metrics. The 992 is the most non car guy Porsche ever.
Lello75 1w ago @Corvolet3
911 has looked extremely similar since it's birth, every 911 generation has respected the classic look and proportions.
I don't care about performance when we are talking about looks.
The 997 has absolutely no main lines and no evident ones, it's an example for a bad fluid design, no character, just plain metal.
991 continues this with some more definition.
992 completes the style with more definition but keeps fluid aestetic and nature.

Absolutely agree tbh. So do the numerous bespoke Porsche tuning companies like Singer, Gunther Werks and RWB. They love using them.
