Agree, XK never was a competitor to Corvette and 911. May be F-type R Coupe would be, but I doubt.

Every car can go faster. But that test was stupid, Atleast with the XKRS involved, That should not have been there. Maybe an R8 4.2 or something.

That was Z51 7-speed manual - fastest configuration. 991 Carrera S PDK in same test had laptime only 1:11.8, so Corvette can show faster time in better condition.

I'm a bit surprised and disappointed with the lap time here.
Was it not a Z51, or auto instead of manual?
It's still a fairly quick laptime, I just expected it to be a bit faster.

I would have guessed a 1:10.3 give or take, Just as fast as a Carrera S I would have guessed, But its not like I didn't see it being slower on this track..who didn't?.. But still, A lap as fast as a 2006 ZO6, and that's nothing to bark at.

Yeah slower than the Exige S V6. But that isn't bad. The Exige S V6 model is extremely impressive, one of my favorite sports cars. The fact that the base C7 Corvette (carrying an extra thousand lbs of weight) almost matches it is very impressive in my opinion.

A bit disappointing but it was almost a half sec faster than the C6 Grandsport. The car it is replacing.I was still thinking it would have been closer to the C6 427 vert.

What was the car complectation, auto or manual, Z51 or not? This laptime is slow for Z51, but not bad for 455hp AT.

for a somewhat basic model, it's a decent lap. I'm sure if GM brought a full team and new tires it'll be like at least 1 second faster.

Yes, because the Exige S was on ultra-grippy P Zero Trofeo semi-slicks, while the Corvette only had Pilot Super Sports.
