It is at least quite comforting that the car could do a 1:05.8 though

"With a lap time of 1:06.9 minutes, the ZR1 is just as fast today as the Z06 in the Super Test.
Important: no thermal problems
It should also be mentioned that the Z06 achieved a perfect lap in ideal temperatures (air 13 degrees Celsius, asphalt 23 degrees Celsius). In the ZR1, both the air and asphalt temperatures were over 10 degrees higher – a world away. With ideal conditions and a little more work on the suspension setup, high 1.05s should be possible with the ZR1. Speaking of temperatures: Even after several laps, the ZR1 showed no thermal problems. A topic that dominated the forums with the Z06."
