It happens all the time.

Strange to see a laptime for car, which isn't in production yet.

This brings up yet again as to what should be accepted and not, Source wise.

I don't think Ford has made the claim.

If Ford makes the claim, it is a "factory claim" like many others and should be accepted as a factory claim.

I would delete it for now or simply wait for official word.

Racerns brings up a valid point.

I don't see any reason to question the lap time as far as the car's potential, but as I understand it, Ford has not officially verified this claim.

I can't find a source that quotes Ford. Can anyone else?

I like to believe that it's true!

It might be. Like I said I don't think Ford has even backed up the claim. I think the time orignally came from a site called Horsepower Kings that just this morning posted that the C7 Z06 ran a 6:59 at the Ring. That time has already been proven false buy a statement from Chevy.

What is it then? Science fiction?

User avatar

racerns  5y ago

I don't think it is even a factory calim. Has Ford made a statement about it?

Better suspension, tires, and computers to help and it's as fast as full on supercars of just a few years ago

It's a very good time for a mustang. Its faster than Z/28 by 5 seconds.

Its right there between those very expensive monsters.

Impressive.

@BR2: That statement is exactly correct.

Its no different at all then a Porsche claim.

The time is just factory claimed but there is no proof or video. Im not sure if it is legit.
