When you use power both burn same amount of fuel and after few laps i8 is even slower.

This is a respectable result considering the skinny tyres and the fact that it is essentially both front and rear-engined, with each powertrain sat over its respective axle, giving the i8 an unfavourable rotational inertia. The i8 is more of a technology demonstrator than a performance car IMO.

the BMW wins on looks and MPG bragging rights.

come on. if BMW wanted to make this thing faster, they'd put aggressive sport fatter tires on and it would go 2-3 seconds faster already.

let alone, making that a 3.0L turbo in the back and we'd be in the combined 600+hp range.

I8 is useless. Another proof. It is lighter than rs3 and still slower.
