Audi RS3 Sedan lap time at Nürburgring Nordschleife Full

I'm actually surprised that this lap time was never in a more critical spotlight. The more you analyze the acceleration and top speed of the car the more obvious it becomes that this RS3 had to be tuned by quite some degree.

Top speed has been higher than what Sport Auto achieved in a Maserati MC20 that was dynoed at 570 hp. It's equal to what BMW itself managed with the M2 CSL, a car that is well known to be underrated at 530 hp.

If you compare acceleration at the start of the lap with the first gen Taycan Turbo S it's damn near identical, despite the Taycan operating at its peak at this point.

So recently I have made the calculations; and considering the end speed of 297 kph, I am convinced they ran a modified version of the car with a 3.24kg power to weight ratio. Which would put the driven RS3 here at approximately 493 hp to achieve those times. I did it in correlation to the M2 CS who managed a similar speed at Döttinger Höhe.
Even if this claimed top speed was "just" speedo, the RS3 still would have had a 50-60 hp power boost.

Official top speed of 290, yet somehow managed 297 here. You can tell they did modifications on this car just to manage that 🙃

interestingly hit some 297kph along the back straight... meanwhile an AMG GTR hit just 302, despite having "577hp", where that was considered to be very conservative already
