Not really a great lap time considering power/weight and the price if you compare it with the four-seat Mustang Mach 1.

Torque is also an important factor to play here.

Sure the Mustang has a bit more power and a lot more torque but it weighs so much more and doesn't even have the Handling Package while the Exige is a very expensive top version of a puristic sports car. Sure that's probably more about driving feeling than lap times but still that time is quite disappointing it seems.

Probably just a bad driver. The ZL1 1LE weighs not much more than the 488 GTB (only around 400 lbs more) and it has significantly more torque as well. It beat the Ferrari around the 'ring. The AMG GT R also beat the GTB.

The Lotus also has torque in the very high-end range. That affects the sensibility of the car as well on the track. There's a reason why the Viper TA and ACR have long dominated the track.
