I had to read the small dim print near the beginning of this Sport Auto road test.
This Porsche 911 GTS is the older car that was produced in 2017.
It's not the one that was recently tested in Autocar.
That particular 911 is a 2025 model.
But as New Zealanders say: Never mind! 😁
And let us get back to this 911 GTS PDK.
I'm now highlighting the various points that are most interesting to me.
Sport Auto seem to always get a prompt response when they request a new Porsche for a test. That's good. This 2017 911 GTS lapped the Hockenheim circuit in 1 minute 8 seconds. Sport Auto were extremely pleased with this time. It's quicker than some high performance 911's from yesteryear. The 0-200 km/h time is 11.9 seconds. Very good. The weight is 1506 kilos. Very good again. That's as a result of some weight saving. Sport Auto describe the car as having good steering response and has excellent grip. And finally, Sport Auto state that this 911 GTS PDK has the best brakes ever of any 911. 0-100 to 0 km/h in 30.6 metres. High praise indeed. So let me thank Jeremy for providing this magazine to us here on Fastest Laps.
Someone here might consider buying the car - whether it's the new car or the older one.
