Figure 8 is not a track, just some cones they put where they are at the moment of test so it always changes surface.

I'm fairly certain that they place the cones identically each time so the surface doesn't change more or less than on a normal racetrack:

Yeah layout never changes, but we usually say it’s not the best source of comparison cuz of tarmac change etc. it is fair however, to compare laptimes done on the same day

You can say that about lap times in general though. Differences will always be there depending on weather conditions, surface temperature or if it has or hasn't rained a lot on the days before a lap time.

The more laptimes, the fairer the comparison

I guess so yea, difference is with a figure 8 u can literally make one anywhere provided u have a set of cones to play with

Theoretically yes but I think MT always uses the same venue and also the same identical place for the track itself given the rubber marks.

While I do agree, there’s been a few suspicions for me, like the Continental GT vs DBS SL test done in the uk, but still getting F8 results?

Not really an ideal layout for the ZR1, but a tie with the 992 GT3 Touring and 765LT Spider is still good

Also, I was worried it would be the C7 ZR1 where it finished 4 tenths behind the Z06 lol
