Just rewatched the episode. The Model 3 that went around the track was a LR AWD version, not a Performance.

in that episode at 33:20 it shows the badge "Dual Motor" with the red underline also the larger red callipers front and rear are visible during a number of shots. both of which are exclusive to the performance variant. Of note however this was shot some time before June 2019. Some time during 2019 there was a software update for Model 3's giving around 5% more power, no indication if this tested version had the update and track mode was not available until 2020. both of which may have improved the lap time.

Different battery cells and track mode avoid overheating. So not comparable to any other Tesla.

Good for about 4 laps before the batteries get too hot and power is reduced. I'd be surprised if it lasted a lap around the Nordschleife on full power.

Not according to Road and Track who tested the Model 3 at Lime Rock Park.
