The McLaren 720S could easily have been a 6:46-6:52 car with the track package and Trofeo R tyres with manufacture support and driver. It was an extremely capable car and surprisingly easy in daily life

i know, that only makes this time more impressive :)

"The McLaren could certainly achieve a better lap time. However, it lacks that final touch of uncompromisingness. And a genuine sports tire. Because something inexplicably went wrong with the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R, which was tuned for the 720S, the P Zero Corsa was used in the super test.
Gebhardt's verdict: "The suspension setup is downright tame for track-day drivers. The tire selection is also conservative. With a more uncompromising suspension setup and a true sports tire with a higher level of grip, a special track version could translate the high performance into even better driving dynamics. The McLaren 720S is already fast, but it could be even faster."

Impressive lap time for the 720S with no roll cage and P Zero Corsa's. With roll cage, TrofeoR's and factory driver it would've been a sub 7 minute lap probably 6:55 or thereabouts.

I'll be honest I was just about to ask. It should be nearer to the Ferrari Pista definitely. Quicker, possibly than a Porsche 918? Impressive? Then the McLaren 765LT should shave a few seconds.
