I would say that given modern semi-slick tyres that the C6 Corvette would probably be capable of dropping at least 16 seconds off of this lap time. My reasoning is that the Porsche Carrera GT was given modern tyres and it dropped over 16 seconds, so why not the C6 Corvette?

If you read the R&T article on the lap, the car also had slightly different suspension than standard, https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a63183523/porsche-carrera-gt-laps-nurburgring-faster-than-ever-thanks-to-modern-tires/

I read the article, but failed to find any modifications to the suspension:

"Supercars typically don’t get faster as they age — but they also don’t typically have brand news tires developed for them either. When the Carrera GT first hit the streets in 2003, it came equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires; then, in 2013, a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires were developed for the car. 10 years after that, Porsche recalled 489 Carrera GTs for a potential suspension failure. To make amends to owners, Porsche not only fixed the suspension issue, but worked with Michelin to develop another brand-new set of Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires specially for the supercar. These new tires were finally released this fall.

If there was ever any doubt about the difference a set of tires can make, this new Carrera GT lap record can serve as Exhibit A. The Carrera GT in question wasn't tuned; there were no aftermarket turbos or any other performance modifications. The only update is the new tires. Yet the car improved its lap time by about 3.5 percent."

The new suspension that they put into the 500 cars was reworked slightly, and would certainly qualify itself as a separate suspension package, since its not just replicas of the original. Im sure its similar, but I doubt its the same.

They fixed the suspension issues without a major change in design apparently, otherwise Road and Track would have made note of it in the article. Here are the details:

Details of the Fix:
Suspension Upgrade: The primary repair involves replacing the spherical joints on the front and rear wishbone suspension with new titanium parts, a significant upgrade valued at around $109,000 per vehicle.

New Tires: Porsche developed and provides new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 N-Spec tires, specifically designed for the Carrera GT, to replace original, potentially degraded tires and improve performance.

Complimentary Service: Owners also receive a significant service credit (around $3,240) and complimentary basic maintenance (fluids, rubber parts) to address general deterioration from the cars' age and infrequent use, according to CarExpert and Yahoo! Finance Canada.
