Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Z07 Package lap time at Nürburgring Nordschleife

Considering that Chevy also fixed some of the issues with early C7 Z06's with the facelift, would they do the same with the C8 Facelift if it comes?

In fifth gear the revs collapse and the Z06 drives at quite low revs over the top speed sections of the Nordschleife and does not reach high top speeds here. With a shorter gear ratio in fifth gear, a sub-7 time might be possible

Smells bullshit. I watched the video and counted about 48 seconds when the car is accelerating above 230 kph, and they want us to believe it can cut 10 out of those 48 seconds?
2-3 at best...
C8 Z06 is not the first vette which performance has been spoiled up by better consumption gearing. But it's certainly not that much.
My guess that Gebhardt just couldn't put together a solid laptime (something that occurs from time to time with non German cars). It definitely should have been no slower than the 7:05 from GT3.

The factory timing of the 992 GT3 RS is 6:49. Factory timing estimates 7:03-7:04 for the C8 Z06.

The Americans really think they can go on a European track and beat them on their own soil, Not today and never. Maybe the ZR1 will do something, but it won't be enough.

Very disappointing lap time. Not even 4 seconds faster than an already not optimal manual C7 Z06-lap time. And only 12 seconds faster than an old C6 Z06 with less aero, much less power, worse tires etc.?

Lap time also really doesn‘t fit compared to other tracks where it‘s usually in front of the 992 GT3, sometimes even beats the 992 GT3 RS… Yes, 5th gear is probably more an issue on the Ring but by such a huge amount?!

287kph. There’s probably a bit too much drag on this car for the high speed Nurburgring. Similar powered cars are doing 30kph speeds higher on the straight.
