@196ss if you don’t mind checking the magazine (if you have it) do they give any particular reason as to the pathetically slow time? I mean it’s nearly 4 seconds slower then cars that it beat on the sachsenring and other tracks by well over 2 seconds

Unfortunately, there isn't much written about this.
The only thing mentioned is that the Corvette surprised them with its good performance on the track, but it was difficult to handle on the road due to its high torque and wide sticky tires.
From my own thoughts I can say that the Red Bull Ring may not be the most suitable track for the Z06. It consists mainly of straight sections and slow turns, and there is a significant elevation changes, while the high-speed bend where the Corvettes usually shine is probably only one.
There is another thought that came to my mind while looking at the laptimes. It is possible that TG, in their usual tradition, recorded laps from a standing start. However, I didn't find any indications in the article either for or against this fact.

Ok that makes more sense, standing starts are not the Z06 strong point, and it’s quite tricky to control but I was still rather surprised to see it even slower than an AMG GT S. Still though this was an extremely capable machine, even on German tracks

I see this happening all the time, If i put 1:50.1, It puts it as either 1:50.2 or 1:49.9, Same with adding acceleration times or top speed, put 4.2s 0- 60, Then it shows up either 4.1s or 4.3s, Same with top speed, Its always either 1mph over or 1mph up...
Not on every car or time, But almost 80% of the time.
