Some people don’t realize how impressive this lap record is it’s barely 1.1 seconds slower than a model s plaid that’s not even road legal nor is it a production car. That dark helmet plaid makes 4000 pounds of downforce, has a gutted interior, and is using non street legal slicks. The fact that a stock production road legal taycan with only 485 pounds of downforce keeps up with teslas track only race car is utterly embarrassing

Track has been repaved in 2023 and got much faster (Indycars are 4 seconds quicker after the repavement). So take all comparisons to lap times pre-Summer 2023 with a grain of salt. It is fast but not THAT fast.
