And somehow that pesky Carrera S manages to beat this by tiny bit, even in top speed.
This shows how advantageous modern turbo engines are. If not slightly underrated in horsepower numbers...
I am not sure if this was Z51package or not. I think there is real difference in performance.

If you look at the conditions you'll see that the 992 had significantly cooler outside temperatures to deal with which helps a great length. The outside temperature difference from 20 to 30°C can easily kill quite a few horsepower.

I wonder why they didn't test the r8, the 911 and the c8 all together, instead than using and old laptime from the 911. Same driver, same conditions, that's how a proper duel should be.

Unfortunately this is kind of common at least in those German sports car magazines "Sport Auto" and "Auto Bild: sportscars".
