contrary to popular belief, i dont think the time is too bad considering its detuned and more importantly doesnt have the track pack with semi slicks. i actually wonder what the us spec model with track pack would do

I agree. Modern semi-slicks would significantly drop the lap time.

i would suspect with the full 480 hp, track pack and cup 2 semi slicks, we can operate at a 7:45?

However in comparison to the VIR lap it is a bit disappointing still, but at least the 7:45 puts in comparison to a C63 AMG S Coupe on Cup 2s as well, so that's not too bad

Pretty bad lap if I'm honest. If that's really the potential of the new Mustang then we're not far off the regular Camaro SS. Or a Corvette C6
