The Carrera GT was only 5 seconds slower even without suspension adjustment to cope with the huge grip of CUP 2 tyres. Imagine if Porsche ran a fully fledged factory effort with CUP 2 R's and KW suspension upgrade. Now, this has just made me want a rerun of the 918 as well

Indeed, that's why we can only take lap times with a grain of salt when comparing cars from different times. And in the end, does it really matter who set the faster time anyways if it was done on the most track focused tires, that will never be used on the road, where we drive 99.9% of the time.
