If the shorter route is really 3.57km, then the long route isn't 3.8km. I have measured the difference on Google Earth and it's only about 60m, definitely nothing like 230m.

So am I correct in thinking the Autozeitung test track is the same as Contidrom 3.63km?

https://fastestlaps.com/tracks/autozeitung-test-track
https://fastestlaps.com/tracks/contidrom-3-63-km

And we also have 2 Bedford SWs and no North, I suggest making one Bedford North.

We need more track images to stop the confusion.

As regards the invalid laps, those 1:2X times do not look legitimate. Yes, I've seen the reference and even posted them below, but they don't seem right for the 3.8km layout. Even if we assume the 3.63km and 3.8km are the same track as luckyluke says, is one tester really 5s quicker than another in the 991 GT3 RS and R8 V10+? Is a 997 GT2 RS with a stick shift really 7s faster than Autozeitung with a 991 GT3 RS. I doubt it. They are faster than all the 3.3km times too. It's not making sense. And a 964 Turbo S faster than a 991 GT3 RS? Seriously? Ditto for 996 Turbo S.

Magazines often make mistakes. Just like Evo call their Blyton config 'Blyton Outer' but it isn't because they don't use the chicane on the main straight.

Best guess I would say.

All AZ times 3.8km &

Yeah but the naming is confusing in any case and there are some (several / many) invalid laps that should investigate and transfer to correct place.

I think the Autozeitung test track of fastestlaps.com is contidrom with 3630 m

I think we can agree that all Autozeitung times are on the same track anyway.

User avatar

sroser  3y ago

I'll third that.

But I think the AutoBild times may in fact be the 3.3km course. The Autozeitung times are definitely the 3.63km course though.

I agree !!

luckyluke  5y ago

All times for the 3.8 km track should be moved to the autozeitung test track.

User avatar

luckyluke  5y ago

I just did some research and I think this time belongs to the normal autozeitung test track, which has a length of 3.63 km. I think there is no 3.8 km layout.

I think the Autozeitung test track of fastestlaps.com is contidrom with 3630 m.

User avatar

luckyluke  5y ago

Hmmm, ok. So that means the picture posted by DeDe is wrong and the long layout is only 3.63 km long and not 3.8 km?

In the magazine of autozeitung i can see 3630 m lenght!

User avatar

luckyluke  5y ago

@johndillinger:
Nope. If you look at the video in the reference, you can clearly see that the 3.8 km layout was used.

5 quality laps from quality source are enough of a reason to add a new track/configuration:

saxy  5y ago

Those seem in line with the other ones you posted about

User avatar

DeDe  5y ago

I only know a few laps for the shorter one (AutoBild):
1:28,90 min - Porsche 991 GT3
1:30,73 min - Nissan GT-R My2011
1:31,43 min - Porsche Cayman GT4
1:31,62 min - Corvette C7 Stingray
1:33,76 min - Porsche 991 Targa 4S PDK

User avatar

saxy  5y ago

Yeah I think that's the difference. I'm pretty sure the ones you just posted Dede are the shorter one?

User avatar

DeDe  5y ago

Also, even AutoBild uses both layouts (3.57 and 3.80 km) for laptiming. Here's the difference.
