It's almost as if weight mattered LOL
Still sad that they reshaped the AMG GT into a sportier SL...

No I agree about the weight, but I still thought the AMG would win cuz of tires, now I want to see a CGTS on Cup 2 R

I would expect 2-3 seconds improvement with Cup 2 R.

Depends on which Z06, C7 Z06 (2:44.6) absolutely! C8 Z06 (2:38.6) probably not.

And I think there’s still more in all of these laptimes bearing in mind bad conditions

So the Carrera GTS could be a 2:41 car with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS/ Cup 2 R I think!

It's possible but sometimes there's less in it than one might think. Not every car gains loads of time with on paper much better tires. The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is such an example. It did a 2:49.4 min. on Michelin PS4S and a 2:47.9 & 2:48.4 min. on Cup 2 R. So just 1-1.5 seconds difference between a UHP-street tire and a radical semi-slick.
The difference between a Mercedes GT63 S on Michelin PS5S and a GT63 Pro on Cup 2 R is 3.4 seconds. And the Pro is most likely not only faster due to the tires.

i think i meant a perfect scenario, if it was done in better conditions and had the cup 2 r tires which you estimated a 2-3 second improvement
