I'm guessing that this car did so well because it was press prepared with the best tires, as well as being 1-1.5s ahead by the first corner, thanks to that monstrous standing start.

not just having the best type of tires, but having multiple sets on site to make sure the stig gets fresh ones to set a time on.

tg never give any background info of stuff like that, although im sure they did give it loads of tires. still i wouldnt track something like this as it will chew tires very quickly compared to lighter more track focused vehicles
