autobild really ran a polo gti versus an g55 amg?

love it!

Nordschleife doesn't care about horsepower or even power-to-weight ratio. Weight is a big factor as well as tires.

Poor G55.... I expect faster laptimes than this

There is something wrong about this lap time, for sure! Sabine Schmitz made a lap in a Ford Transit, the time was 10 minutes and 8 seconds. With all my due respect nobody in this world can convince me that, a stock Ford Transit is faster than a G55 AMG. And I'm also sure that no Polo 1.2 can beat the car either.

it couldnt be slower than some Mazda MX 6 or Toyota MR2. if it's full lap then it should be around 2 mins less

I think it's incorrect, a Ford Transit van can make it around the Nordscleife in much less time than that, and the G55 AMG is a performance SUV.

I think that it is correct :D
I think that G55 is slower than VW Polo 1.2 on track.
Power is nothing with out good chassis.

A pretty rare laptime, first for the G55! 8D
